Ann-Marie asked me if I could make some Swedish "applekakor" for the "Tucson-Meet-Yourself" event now in October. I have already made 2 and they are in the freezer. Today I made 2 more, as you can see. If I have time, I'll make 2 more. The more we have for this event the better! A lot of us in our club are making various food items for this event. We do not want to run out of food, that's for sure!
We are the Swedish VASA Lodge in Tucson, Arizona (part of the Vasa Order of America) preserving and promoting our culture and language. What we all have in common is the desire to keep our Swedish traditions and culture alive and passing those on to generations to come. We hope you will want to join our club!

Good luck ladies with the important task of passing on the Swedish heritage! Applekaka is perfect for this time of year, our apples are ripening right now, here at Kastanjegarden, Svalov, Sweden.
halsningar, Cela
